LIGON FINE ART represents a wide variety of original artworks and sculptures from over 30 visual artists, who are all residents of Florida, but who hail from all over the globe.
Catering to the local community, LIGON FINE ART is an art gallery that also serves as an event space platform for local musicians and other performing artists to perform and for businesses and nonprofit organizations to hold events.
During her 25-year+ career in Corporate Operations, owner Angela Ligon aspired to earn a living doing the thing she loves doing the very most- making spaces more beautiful and inspiring others through art. Her dream came true over four years ago, in 2019.
Many of the artists represented by LIGON FINE ART have been creating for 30-50 years, and some even longer than that! While honing their craft, the artists have, respectively, held traditional career(s) in varying disciplines while creating to feed his/her passion.
The artists and Angela Ligon share a common goal, to create and inspire others through beautiful art and to inspire other artists to create! Sharing original artworks with the masses while allowing them to be open to interpretation and criticism is a very vulnerable act!
The mission at LIGON FINE ART is not just to place art in their forever homes, but it’s bigger than that. It is Angela Ligon’s life’s mission to foster and support all forms of art, whether it is visual, performance-applied, and/or decorative. And it is her goal to do so with a focus on the emotive transfer that transpires between the creator of said art and the person viewing the work.
It is her belief that art is intended to be thought-provoking and to elicit emotion. She can be heard stating that “we are connected.. and through viewing art, you may feel goosebumps, tears, happiness, joy, or perhaps you will just quietly observe and allow your mind will wander.”
Followed by, “You may hate the piece, or you may love it. But no matter what, you will never forget it. And that, my friends, is the magic of art! ❤️ May we keep original artworks alive!”
She further explains that “Artwork has the power to transform a space, to give it character, warmth, and depth. It has a unique ability to inspire us, stir emotions, and bring joy and beauty into our lives. With original artwork, you will be happy and motivated each day.
