Lighthouse Fire Protection is a small, family-owned business that has been serving Southern California and beyond for the past 12 years.
Licensed, bonded, and insured, with a focus on serving our local community and keeping businesses and residents safe, we offer peace of mind despite industry hazards and seasonal wildfires. Our core services include fire extinguisher installation and annual service, fire extinguisher recharge, fire extinguisher training, fire extinguisher hydrotesting, fire suppression system installation and semi-annual service, fire sprinkler testing, emergency lighting testing, and entry/exit lighting testing.

All businesses in California are required by the fire marshal to have at least one fire extinguisher that is inspected and serviced annually by a certified technician, sometimes many more depending on the size of the business. There are many types of fire extinguishers, the most common being the multipurpose 5lb ABC dry chemical variety. This type of extinguisher is able to tackle ordinary “A” class fires containing combustibles such as paper, wood, and cloth; flammable “B” class fires containing liquids such as gasoline and oil grease; and electrical “C” class fires such as in wiring, fuses, and circuit breakers. The other most common type of extinguisher is a “K” class which is for kitchen-based fires.

The combination of electrified elements and dangerous liquids and gases make kitchen-based fires extremely dangerous, as these fires are the most common to get out of control. All restaurants that cook with grease are required to have a “K” class extinguisher in their kitchen, inspected and serviced annually by a certified technician. ABC extinguishers are required to be replaced 12 years from the date of manufacture. The extinguisher bottle itself can be hydrotested and reused for another 12-year life cycle, given it is able to hold the proper pressure and pass the test. This is where our refurbished fire extinguishers come from, which offer a cost-effective solution to a business needing to replace an extinguisher. We aim to create minimal waste and limit our environmental impact, so we even offer hazardous waste disposal for extinguishers that have reached their limit.

While there may be many fire protection services available to business owners in California, Lighthouse Fire Protection is set apart in many ways. Our level of professionalism is above and beyond what is typically experienced in our industry. We are clean, respectful, presentable, and strive to provide the best customer service money can buy. Our technicians are educated and up to date with the most recent changes to the fire code, in order to help keep our communities safe. We aim to never let the extinguishers we service expire, so business owners can expect us to reach out for scheduling weeks before the service is required, to always keep your business in compliance. Lighthouse also offers special pricing for nonprofits, religious institutions, and schools.
Business owners, commercial builders and contractors, property managers, facility directors, and commercial insurance agents are all encouraged to reach out with any questions or requests for proposals.
